Congress Sans was completed in 1985, a descendant of the earlier serifed Congress family which proved to be so popular. Congress Sans was designed to present a style equally appealing in European languages. Many characters of the Congress Sans font family are more condensed than usual, while others have been exaggerated. The concept was to bring an equality of importance to the whole, producing a collection of International characters working together in harmony on the pagea common aim that Europeans wish of any Congress.
